Anyone Recognize My Wheel?
My Dad (the great guy that he is) tracked down a wheel for me but only knows it's made in Sweden. Anyone recognize who it may be made by?

Thanks!

Looks a lot like an Ashford Traditional, but it has slightly different details on it and Ashfords are made in New Zealand.

In any event, congratulations.. it's a gorgeous wheel!!

I have no knowledge of spinning wheels, but I know quite a bit about Dads and I must say that you have got yourself an extra special one.

I would bet that is an Ashford Traditional. IT looks exactly like mine. If it is the Ashford name would be on the front leg under the flyer. The only thing that would make me question is that Ashfords are made in New Zealand.

I've got a couple of replies on my blog too...looks like it is an Ashford Traditional and was made in New Zealand and probably just assembled in Sweden.

Thanks everyone for replying! I'm a wee excited now!

Yep, that's an Ashford Traditional. Hard to say what age it is. They really havent changed much over the years. The tip off to the wheel is the front legs. It's a good sturdy little wheel. If you find any numbers on it anywhere you can probably get Ashford to age it for you.
