Bernat Sox yarn???

I have been on a sock kick and made all my socks out of Opal. I have a friend who is allergic to wool so I found some Bernat Sox yarn online. There wasnt much in options for stripes or anything that wasnt a solid color. I love the way the yarn feels - its SOOO soft. What's the deal with the yarn - is it discontinued or something - why is it not easy to find out in locations - or really online for that matter? Is there something comparible to it - I really love how soft it is.

I like the patterning of Opal yarns but is there something like that but softer like the Bernat Sox? :thinking:
