I've used that program before, but it has a few limitations. Let's all encourage SandraEllen to publish her version! Doesn't it seem like the perfect merge of wool and technology?

The stripe generator is a web based one that DH and I wrote.

There's one at kissyourshadow.com and i just wasn't very happy with it. The colors weren't right for the yarn i wanted to use (WOTA) and you couldn't weight the colors differently so you couldn't have more of one color than another.

Mine calculates the number of cast on stitches and rows for a given size of bag after felting. From that, it calculates how many skeins of yarn of each color you will need.

It's not available online yet, but if people are interested, i can clean it up and make it available.
