cookworm Working the Gusset Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,243 Thanks: 219 Thanked 85 Times in 66 Posts	Flower Basket Lace Shawl/Scarf I have the pattern for the Flower Basket Lace Shawl/Scarf http://www.yarnies.com/Patterns/411S14.jpg but I can't even start on it because I have a question about the way you cast on. It looks like you have to begin knitting from a crocheted chain which becomes "waste yarn" after you've knitted for a while...why is that? I don't understand...I'm so confused! __________________ I'm "the mean twin". I'm on flickr, too! I love to knit shawls...after all, a girl can't have too many shawls!
