How do I increase in a ribbing pattern?
HI Everyone
Thanks for being here to help!
I'm an easy level knitter and have a beret pattern that calls for an increase in a K2 P2 row. THe pattern starts with 3 rows of K2 P2. It's in boucle wool.
The fourth row calls for 3 sts inc. evenly spaced in the row. There are 72 sts.
Where do I put the incs? And, do I put an increase stitch as a K1 or K2 or what?. I find the bar increase easiest if it will work in a beret that will continue to increase and then decrease when the crown is shaped. As you can tell, this is the first one I've attempted.
Thanks so much for any help you can give me!
Cheers,
Nancy

Thanks Kemp,
Looks like if-----
"you're trying to increase in the middle of ribbing, and keep on ribbing, there's really no invisible way to do it."
I just jump in and make the best of it. Perhaps one stitch on each end and one in the middle. Wish there was a rule for us nervous knitters who feel better following some kind of experienced advice.
Thanks for your help!
Nancy
