Looking back through the posts, I wish I hadn't said "I hate to disagree with you," that first time because it wasn't completely true -- and more than that, it really was not a thoughtful choice of words to start the post with. (Sorry.)
BTW, I was just looking at Vogue Knitting (I have the first edition but I think it's pretty much the same as the current one), and in the intro paragraph, they say to use the side you think looks better as the RS for those cast ons like LT that aren't the same on both sides. To see which way they
preferred, I looked at the picture for the LT instructions (they call it double CO), and (surprise!) -- they show it your way. So you can tell those stubborn people at that other board that at least one authoritative source doesn't follow their "rule." (I'm so glad the people here aren't like that. Sheesh!)
