Help, need an Idea fro Lion Brand Suede yarn, ASAP!!!

My mom wants me to knit her a cell phone holder that hangs around her neck. I picked out some Lion Brand Suede because its soft but I cannot find a stitch pattern that looks good in it. It doesnt stretch, so Im stumped. I tryed putting a cable in the middle, but that looked horrible, them I tried a regular knit and that looks horrible too. Any suggestions? I want to give it too her tomorrow. Thanks.
