casting on at the beg of rows
I am working on this sweater and I am a little confused about this one. The pattern says:

Work in stockinette st until work measures 18.5[18.5, 19, 20, 20.5, 21, 21.5] inches.

Shape Armholes:
CO 6[6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8] sts at beg of next 2 rows. 96[102, 116, 122, 126, 148, 154] sts.

Cont in stockinette st until work measures 24[24, 25, 26.5, 28.5, 29, 30] inches (armhole measures 5.5[5.5, 6, 6.5, 8, 8, 8.5] inches).

Does this mean that when I get to the point where I have my measured amount, my next row I cast on 8 stiches at the beg of the next row, knit (or pural) to the end. Turn and co another 8 then go to the end from there? ( I hope this makes sense)

I would think that it would be uneven or would it?

At first glance, it'll seem a bit uneven, but once you knit it, it'll be even. Don't worry!
