thumb holes in armwarmers

Any good suggestions on knitting arm warmers with a thumb hole?[/b]

I've knit these Voodoo Wristwarmers that have a thumb hole only.

The thumb hole is done using the same technique as a button hole.

I have a pattern on my blog for gaunlets.


I made them from the bottom up in the round, and when I got to the bottom of the thumb hole, I just started knitting back and forth in rows for 10 or 11 rows. Then went back to knitting in the round to finish it off. Made a really nice finished thumb hole.
