first time knitting, and stuck,

hi im new to knitting and to this site, im attempting to knit a halter top, but i dont understand patterns yet even tho its for beginners, it says; (ws)p each st tog with corresponding loop of cast -on edge to close hem, i know what (ws)p mean but not the rest, any help would be great, thanks missjx
