wrap front shaping help
Hi all, here are some directions I am just wanting to clarify...

Shape front:
Next row. Patt to last 2 sts, Patt2tog (front edge) 74 st.

Work 3 rows inc 1 st at side edge in 2nd row at SAME TIME dec 1 st at front edge in every row. 72 st

so when they say '2nd row'.. do they mean the second row of the 3 rows or the first row of the 3 rows..thus the 2nd row of the front shaping...

also.. the pattern tells me to do my front edge decreases on the last stitch...wouldn't it look nicer if I did it one stitch in from the edge? or would that screw with my lace pattern too much?

Thanks in advance!

I think it's the 1st row of the 3. That would be the 2nd row after you started the shaping.

As for increasing one stitch in, it depends on your lace pattern. It might mess with it, and your edges will be seamed up - right? So just do it on the edge stitches.

actually the front edge won't be seemed in... it is a wrap type sweater...so the left and right fronts are triangles of sorts that wrap around and tie..

Thanks for your help.

Oh yeah, that's right. But try it both ways and see how you like it.
