Another EZ Feb. Baby Sweater Question!
I swear this sweater will be the death of me! I'm about halfway finished with the first sleeve. After it's done, I will go onto this piece, which is confusing me...

"Repeat for second sleeve. Place remaining 92 sts on needle, knitting up 4 x 7 sts at the cast-on sleeve-sts and continue [...]"

1. Repeat for second sleeve - this is probably painfully obvious, but I just want to make sure...on the first sleeve, it said to work 25 sts then work back and forth for the sleeve. Do I repeat the knit 25 too?

2. How on earth do I "place sts on needle knitting up 4 x 7 sts at the cast on sleeve-sts"?! :(

Good question. I'm not sure. I made a copy of the pattern so I'll go look in a minute.

I started it, but got made with the increases at the neck. They looked crappy so I ripped it about 5 times and finally quit for now. I need better yarn I think. What are you using?

I'm using Lamb's Pride worsted wool/mohair.

I have no idea what this means. Maybe when I'm doing it it will all make more sense. My daughter's friend is having her first baby, a girl, and I'd like to make. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

This part is a yes.

I'm not sure what the 4 x 7 means, though. I was thinking that it was pick up 4 out of 7, but I'm not really sure.

I did google feb. baby sweater and found some blog posts about it. I can't find my Knitter's Almanac right now, but when I do I'll take a look.

I found this...I'm still a little confused though.

"The 4 X 7 sts consists of the 7 sts cast on at each side of both sleeves. Each sleeve had a total of 14 stitches cast on. (Are you still with me?) The total sts cast on for both sleeves together equals 28. 4 X 7 = 28 (At that moment, a light bulb went off.) Basically, you are picking up 7 stitches at each end of each sleeve. In other words, you are picking up 7 stitches 4 times. That's where 4 X 7 comes in. Now, why Mrs. Zimmerman couldn't say that to begin with, I don't know. Nevertheless, I still love this pattern and would difinitely knit it again."

I think what it means is I go back to knitting the body of the sweater and then when I come to each sleeve, I pick up only the cast-on sts and continue. Then I stitch the sleeves shut to form a tube? Is that it?!
