double pointed needles
I finally got a pattern straightened out. Would you start on double points, as I have never dptd in my life, and switch to circular? My first 3 attempts on the circular for the ribbing was tight but after that was done I figured the rest would be easier. I like circular and I guess I am afraid of dptd. I don't find knitting difficult but circular(seamless) knitting is a challenge for me that I intend to conquer!!!!

What the problem was with the ribbing, is that you probably didn't have enough stitches to go around the needle, and that made it tight. I would knit the ribbing on DPN's and switch to circulars when you have enough stitches. To transfer the stitches, all you do is just knit them from the DPN's to the needle.
One of many knitting guys.

too tight
Hello Knitting Guy!
After I got the dropping stitch fixed, the tightness I figure is from cable length. I casted on 104 stitches. The cable is 12 inches and then you add in the two needles. It was too tight getting the stitches from one needle to the other. I figured if I start from dptd needles and then switch to cable when the ribbing is done and the work is sort of looser to work with. I realize that as i start decreasing that I will have to go back to double pointed needles.
I just wonder why they don't make shorter cables because I would buy them if they went to my needlemaster set.
