Returning to Knitting===Hopefully!

Hi,

My father was raised in a catholic orphage during the depression---everyone had to learn eveerything so---my father taught me to knit as a child. It has been YEARS since I've touched knitting needles and think I can still manage the basics. MY daughter is expecting our 2nd grandchild and if she has a girl (or a boy) I want to knit something for the baby. Would love to do a thick soft and plush baby blanket, sweater, hat and booties---but as I said I may be acting a bit too ambitious.
