Not quite. I've got about 3 rows to go. I am determined to get it in the mail by next Monday at the very latest.

I'm thinking about putting it on a looooong piece of waste yarn when I finish just so we can get an idea of how big it really is. Don't worry RiverDaughter, I'll put it back on the needles if I do that!

Pictures soon, I promise!

Here's the link to our Oddball Blanket #2 Blog:
http://secondoddball-knitalong.blogspot.com/

The list of knitters is on the right side of the blog. You just need to scroll down the page to see it.

There are several knitters before you, my friend (you're the 14th knitter). But, don't worry....it will get there eventually!

OK, finally with the pictures. I had to work quickly because I was losing light!

There's one shot of the entire blanket and also a close-up of the Tumbling Blocks pattern I used. I dithered a little bit over whether I'd chosen the right pattern for the yarn, but I think it turned out well.

My family went through a health scare with my Mom while I was knitting this, so there's a lot of hope for healing worked in with the knits and purls.

I'll be sending it off to Wyoming today at lunchtime!

Mom's doing better than we expected.

She found a lump in her neck which turned out to be cancerous when biopsied. The good news is that the CT scan showed only the one small node on her neck. Her oncologist says no chemo, a very slight chance of removing the node surgically and probably no radiation. They're going after it with medication.

It's still cancer, and I'd rather she not have it, but this is far better than the worst-case scenarios which were spinning through my head.
