Ok, here's a pic of the earthtones shawl. Carmabelle used a soft heather blue yarn, and as you can see, I've already started with the same yarn I used before, Cascade Key Largo, in a pretty blue green color. I've also started to weave in all the ends!

That looks fantastic!
Stagebear - I haven't tried that alternating either, but you can always try it and frog back if necessary ... I do constantly - to the point where I think I've been doing more of that than actual knitting these days. Or maybe bigger needles would loosen it?

well, after a couple of double-stranded rows, i played the frogging game. i swatched some more - going up to a size 9 isnt bad, but i'm still not sure i like it.
maybe i'll look for some other yarn. or are we trying to repeat yarn as we finish the shawl?

That's the plan, but you can use a different yarn if you want. No problem at ALL!

wow that looks really nice. I like the idea of repeating the colors back the opposite direction even more now.

i'm done with the pretty purples shawl! i decided to stick with my original yarn, but double-stranded it (on size 9's) this time to support more weight. i would have loved to knit some more, but i ran out of yarn :(.
now i just have to write in the journal and package it up. unless something changed, i believe threesmom is next - i just need an address. unless you'd like to meet somewhere in the middle.
here it is: (unfortunately the color is off - the sun is hiding today)
