Thanks Lestrella and momwolf! It has been a crazy week and this afternoon I was in a car accident with my kids. Thankfully nobody was hurt. My van is probably totaled though. sigh. I felt bad for the 17 year old girl that hit us. She was so upset and didn't want me to call the police, but I really had to under the circumstances. Sooo, it was nice to finally get the chance to sign onto the computer and see the happy, excited thoughts on this thread. Yay!!

I have finished the knitting part of four little buntings. I got some cute flannel so I'll put that in and find some pretty ribbon and take some pictures I like knitting these and it makes it even more special knowing that you all are doing the same thing too

Thanks everybody for your kind words! I am SO thankful that we are all okay. Things like that really make me remember how precious life is and how often I take health and wholeness for granted.

Welcome, Laura! It's never too late to join! Please don't feel like you have to read the whole thread...I really should have started a new one since the vast majority of the posts are from last year when we did this the first time around. It is very touching, at least to me, to read through the posts though, so if you want to, you might enjoy it!

This time around, we are just knitting the burial buntings http://www.touchinglittlelives.org/knitbunting.html
because the hospital had a specific need for them. You can choose to line them or leave them unlined. Either way is fine. I'm having fun at the moment with matching pretty baby flannel to the bunting yarn.

On September 8th I'll randomly draw a couple of names from those whose buntings have arrived at my house by that date. I can pm you my address when you are ready to mail them. I'll send a little yarn present to those two people I wish I could give something to everyone, but I'd go broke!

On the 10th I'll bring the things to the hospital. I try to document everything and post pictures because then everyone can see how appreciated their labor of love is.

Ask any questions you like and thank you SO MUCH for joining in!!

I have 5 done so far. A few are made a little larger since I figured babies come in all sizes and I knew that most of them would be made smaller.

Jan, that was very smart to make them in different sizes! Thanks for thinking of that!

I have made 3 little buntings, 2 like Ingrids and one in the style of Grandma's Favorite Washcloth. I called the local hospital and asked if there was a need and they said they have enough so if I may ask you for your address I will finish them up and send them off to you!
