I dyed up a few skeins for the Peapod Baby set. I used Jacquard acid dyes. I used 2 colors but they ended up so similar that the yarn just looks a little tonal when knit up. It's really pretty. This is just one of the skeins, photographed twice, from different angles. I should have taken a picture while it was skeined but I forgot.
I call it Sapphire Sky, and if I ever decide to dye for money, my company will be called Holey Sheep! Designs

Wonderful colors, girls !
I was just in the kitchen making up a new pitcher of lemonade, and I'm so conditioned to think of kool-aid for dyeing, now, that I had to start by adding just a quarter cup of water first, then another quarter, just to see how nice a yellow it would make !
OMG. there's so much inspiration on this thread!
I've just started learning how to spin and dye and am working on a sweater that uses "Fire & Ice" inspired colors.
Here's a summary of my dyeing journey.
Here's a bunch of other nature inspired yarns I've dyed and spun. They're way at the bottom of the entry.
