It's coming along -- nearly 2 inches done -- I'm a slow knitter (w/a toddler to boot) and got a later start than I wanted due to waffling over color and stitch selection (

oh the decisions!). I actually ended up going with my second color choice as I accidentally left the first ball of yarn on the couch (nearly the same color as my couch too -- so I guess it blended) and while gone getting the kids from school my dog "played" with it -- needless to say I was not happy and at some point will have to dedicate some serious time to the yarn-monster he created --

I'm hoping to have it done by early next week -- we are heading out of town to camp over the long weekend and hopefully in between managing DVDs and snacks for the kids on the drive up, I'll be able to get it done -- it won't be allowed out of the car though in fear of it getting dirty.......

Thanks for the update, lucky alf. I know what you mean by having a toddler to boot, I have two. My youngest just turned one, I wanted him to stay a baby. I am fortunate they don't attack my yarn

Here's the most recent photo of the kidlets. But they both got a kick outa something and started laughing even though my daughter has a mouthful of oatmeal.

Dangles, how very blessed you are to have two such beautiful bundles of joy. I'm telling you from experience....turn your head, blink once, and they're suddenly grown.

I was so afraid when I signed up for this that the blanket would end up being due to arrive here during my vacation in latter September. I am relieved to know that's now not likely to happen, since there are 6 ahead of me.
