Pattern help needed
I found a nice christmas stocking pattern for free at a Michael's craft store but I'm a little confused on the pattern. the whole thing can be found at http://www.michaels.com/art/online/p...eet?pid=25355c
The part i have a question on is this:

Establish Pattern
Rnd 1 (Foundation Rnd): Work Rnd 1 of Irish Moss St across first 5 sts, *p2, Tw2R, work Rnd 1 of Cable panel, Tw2R, p2*, work Irish Moss St across next 11 sts, rep from * to * once, end working Irish Moss St across last 6 sts.
Rnd 2: Work Rnd 2 of Irish Moss St across first 5 sts, *p2, k2, work Rnd 2 of Cable panel, k2, p2*, work Irish Moss St across next 11 sts, rep from * to * once, end working Irish Moss St across last 6 sts.
Continue in pattern established, repeating Rnds 1 4 of Irish Moss st and Rnds 1 8 of Cable panel until piece measures 8-inches from beginning of pattern, end Rnd 4 of Cable panel

Circular Irish Moss Stitch (multiple of 2 sts + 1)
Rnds 1 and 2: *K1, p1; rep from * to last st, k1.
Rnds 3 and 4: *P1, k1; rep from * to last st, p1.
Rep Rnds 1 4 for Irish Moss st.

Cable (Panel of 31 sts)
Also see Chart.
Rnds 1 and 2: P2, k27, p2.
Rnd 3: P2, k3, [C6F] 4 times, p2.
Rnds 4 6: Rep Rnd 1.
Rnd 7: P2, [C6B] 4 times, k3, p2.
Rnd 8: Rep Rnd 1.
Rep Rnds 1 8 for Cable panel

the rounds one and two in the first paragraph are different stiches before the cable pattern, so do i just kinda do an even odd thing before the cable patterns in the following rows? I guess i'm confused as to what to do. Thanks!

Yes, you don't want to do the twist on every row, so they have you just k and p on the next one.

It looks like you work the Irish Moss stitch on the stitches before and after the cable rows.

rows 1

5 Moss, *p2, Tw2R, row 1 of cable pattern, p2 Tw2R, *, 11 Moss, *to*, 6 Moss

row 2

5 moss, *p2, k2, work Rnd 2 of Cable panel, k2, p2*, 11 Moss, rep from * to * once, end 6 moss

row 3

5 moss, *P2, k3, [C6F] 4 times, p2.* 11 moss, rep * *once, end 6 moss

row 4 - 6 repeat rows 1

row 7

5 moss, P2, [C6B] 4 times, k3, p2.* 11 moss, rep * * once, end 6 moss

row 8 repeat row1

Make sense?

i think i was getting confused because rows one has the Tw2R in it and i don't know where to do that again, is it just that once and then i only do the cable and moss stich the rest of the length the the sock? Or do i do the rounds one and two as they are written out under the establish pattern part, rawr.

Looking at the picture, it appears that it goes all the way up, so I'd repeat rows 1 and 2 for those stitches, twisting every other row.

ok so basically do row one for all the odd rows and row 2 for all the even rows. ok that seems to make sense. Some day I'll get better at this whole pattern reading thing!
