Ang Mac, your hedwig is looking awesome! I like the yarn you chose for it, all speckly and pretty!

new_knitter, that is so exciting that he wore the scarf and that they won the best group costume! The scarf looks great!

Hey everyone!!

Im back from my knitting vaca lol.

First of all, great job on the hedwig and the scarf!!! They both look wonderful guyss.

Can you believe I am still working on my gryffindor scarf....I had to stop for a while (hence why Ive been MIA on here) because my fingers lol. It sounds stupid but my fingers were cracking and soo incredibly sore. I even tried putting bandaids on them but I found it too hard to work with them on. Any tips??? hehe.

I have tried to post this twice alreadly... Maybe 3rd time's a charm....

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words during the craziness and for the kind words on how my scarf turned out. It was all worth it when he came home having had such a good time. The scarf was a hit too. Everyone was asking where he got it

AngMac, Hedwig is coming along so fast! I can't wait to see him completed.

Rachjm, I hate it when pesky responsibities get in the way of knitting! Glad you got some knitting in and I am looking forward to seeing your scarf.

Ditto on the sore, cracked fingers, GinnyWeasley. Mine look bad!

Libbie, someone suggested I try Plymouth Encore or Caron Simply Soft and yarn alternatives. I haven't checked the colors yet.

Next for me is Felted Clogs, but I am interested in doing another Gryffindor scarf and a bookscarf or two....

Good work guys!

I'm finally past the middle part of my dark mark scarf. The rest should knit up fairly quickly.

Room for more?
Hello All! I just got the Charmed knits book and then stumbled on this KAL. Is it too late to join?
I am finishing up an anti-christmas stocking for my roommate and then it is on to Ron's Animal Crackers hat. I saw PCwombat's so totally awesome one. Has anyone else completed this hat? I am concerned that with the big yarn and needles the colorwork will come out kind of gappy.
I am also looking for a pattern for the other hat Ron wears in prizoner of azkaban if anyone knows where I can find it. Here is a still of the ron and Hermione and the hat. http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/flipbook.php?id=51&page=7
Hope the link works because I have never done one before!!
