Help with a stitch!
I am not sure if there is a way to knit this, but I am really wanting to make this hat, and of course I am going off just a picture, not a pattern... I have researched stitches and cannot seem to find it. I am attaching the website where I found it, and it looks like a waffle pattern, but not sure how to knit it. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Looks like a sideways knit. It might be just a loose stockinette stitch that is allowed to roll on one edge and gathered on the other.

It reminds me of a loom-knit hat.
