I made a Wisp
shawl of Malabrigo Worsted Wool and I'm getting ready to block it. I have bought some blocking wires and T-pins from the LYS and DH is going to pick up some interlocking playroom mats from Sam's Club one night this week (if they have them.)
Can anyone give me an idea how long it will take to dry?
I plan to do a wet block and will probably set up the mats in the basement (finished, so it is warm and dry but does not have daylight sun), where it will be out of danger of excited kids and their beagle.
If it can be done in less than 10 hours, I can set it up on the main level, on the floor under the skylights (where it might get extra sun) while everyone is out of the house for the day. I don't want to have to move it back and forth, and I would have to trust the kids to not let the dog out or trample it themselves as soon as they got home, so I'm thinking if it is longer than a day, I'll be better off with it in the basement.
