PATTERN PROBLEM - NOT ENOUGH STITCHES
I am starting a pattern that I just picked up today at my local yarn shop. It is a Plymouth Yarn Company Pattern- S177 Electra Scoop Neck Shell. I was trying to figure out the first few lines and it didn't make sense. I would not have enough stitches to complete. Am I misunderstanding something or is something missing from the pattern? Pattern states:

For all sizes, cast on 2 sts.
NR: K1, m1, K1 (3 sts).
NR: purl to end.
NR: (K1, m1) 4 times, K1 (9 sts).

The 3rd row is where I have the problem. I don't have enough stitches to (K1, m1) 4 times, much less Knit 1 more stitch. I was so excited to start this new pattern but I am having trouble right out of the gate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

Renée

It seems there's a row missing there - the 3rd row needs 5 sts in order to inc 4 and end up with 9. You need to get from 3 to 5, so I'd suggest the 3rd row should be - k1, m1, k1, m1, k1 - then purl a row and your fine for the next row.
