Will Ribbing Felt?
I am making a wool hat and going to felt it in the washer when I'm done. However, I didn't know how to finish the bottom (doing it top down)... If I put ribbing around the bottom will it felt and still be stretchy or what will happen? I googled it but kept getting results from cracked ribs! LOL

TIA!

Ribbing will felt- I'm making a hat too and the instructions are to felt the hat and it has ribbing- so it will work but I dont exactly know if it will be stretchy(but I think so)

If it's very lightly felted it may still have some stretch. Too much and you lose the stretch and the pattern detail.
