shrinking question

Does anyone know if superwash wool/nylon mix tends to shrink after washing/drying? I am almost done with my first sock, and it's coming out a bit too loose. It also seems to stretch out the more I mess with it. I would hate to wear a sock that gets too stretchy during wear. Directions state gentle wash, but only dry on low heat for max 5 minutes.

No superwash generally doesn't shrink. You could take some of the yarn, work up a swatch then wash and dry it. A lot of SW yarns will stretch when wet and you need to put them in the dryer to go back to their knitted size.
