I came home to find...
...a few tiny rows of stockinette stitch on my refrigerator.

My husband said he wanted to understand what I talked about when I spoke to him about knitting, so he went and learned to knit and purl and did a few rows of stockinette.

Not all of us men are scum-of-the-earth, some are caring and nice.

PLEASE do not tell the Union.

If I came home to find that on my refrigerator, I would pass out or wonder what he had done that he was seeking forgiveness for!!!!

I asked him if he wanted to and he said no. We'll see. Maybe he'll change his mind.

One of my coworkers talked her husband to crochet when he was laid off (construction guy) because he was going bonkers at home. He now crochets better than she does and makes so many different things. He even takes his crochet to the construction site and will work on it in the bulldozer or something if he's waiting to do something. His coworkers won't say jack to him about it because he's like 300 lbs of muscle. So I figure there's a chance mine may change his mind.

one day I came home to my huband sewing beautiful little ears for his Halloween Costume I had made him the night before (tiger, since I was a zebra). They were awesome (also technically).

Years later I find him sewing stuff sacks for a camping trip (especially lightweight). Then a backpack that weighs 200 g, then a tent that is very roomy and stays under 2 kg total (7 square meters). We did spend our last trip in it and it was awesome.

There is hope - even though my husband claims that he will not start to knit. I think the last word is not spoken there.
