I was truly blessed with the gift of a lovely red yarn, called Art Fibers "Kyoto". My Rav knitting buddy (knitwitmom) and I met at my SeaTac airport during her 5 hr layover last month. I surprised her with some sterling silver/swarovski crystals stitch markers...she surprised me with this fantastic yarn. I'd never heard of it. It's only available in San Francisco...but I think you can order it online, too.
Anyway, it was a real search to find the right scarf pattern. Finally decided on "Liesel"...but only knit half the repeat in width. I saw projects under "Liesel" (at Rav) that gave me the idea. Some knitters knit 3 repeats in width, making it almost shawl-like.
So here is "Liesel Meets Kyoto"...
