Newbie Help

I joined the site as I'm looking for a bit of help. It's not so much to knitting, but more of just tying knots with yarn without needles. I have an idea to make a bracelet out of yarn for this organization called Live2Free. Today's youth "fad" seems to be wearing rubber bracelets that support a cause they care about. I thought, why not make a bracelet out of yarn to support a cause I care about. I want to have on the bracelets L2F but I'm not exactly sure how to make the design. If I could get any help and instructions on how to do that (doesn't matter how many rows of yarn or how many colors) I would be extremely grateful and appreciative. Thanks!

Hi Jacob, this sounds like a good idea, but I don't know how much help you will get here since it is not knitting. But we'll look at it. Question...what does L2F mean? You might try this general craft site LINK

I figured out what L2F means...Live2Free. duh? LOL I have no idea how you would accomplish making letters/number with knots.

Thanks for the site and for any help you might be able to get. I know people have done some awesome designs with macrame, but I'm not sure about letters and numbers, though Wiki does say there are ones that are called Alpha bracelets (with letters/symbols). But it's worth a shot asking around and maybe someone could give me a better idea if it isn't possible.
