tricky baby blanket pattern instructions - help!
I've been knitting for a few years now but I just came across a baby blanket pattern instruction that really confuses me. Can any of you more experienced knitters offer any possible interpretation of the following?
1st Row (RS) *P3. yrn. P2tog. P1. With yarn at front of work, slip next 8 sts onto a cable needle. wrap yarn counterclockwise 3 times around sts on cable needles, pulling yarn slightly. Leave yarn at back of work. [K1. (Inc 1 st in next st) 6 times. K1] from cable needle. P1. P2tog. yrn. P5 Rep from 8 to end of row.
It's the counterclockwise wrapping that trips me up. Where exactly am I wrapping the yarn, and what do I do with the extra yarn when I'm knitting off the cable needle?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
