how do i undo a bind-off?

I misinterprated my pattern and bound off a section that shouldn't have been! I could tell that something was wrong when i finished binding off that part, so the last loop is still there with a sticth holder and my yarn just hanging there... Is there a way to correct this mistake?? Please help!

Slide the needle out of the loop and pull on the yarn until the pass over st pops off, insert the L needle into the st and repeat.
