Yarn store gone....help

Lion Brand� Jiffy� Thick & Quick is the yarn that the scarf called Mountainview Scarf. The only small yarn store her closed and now all I have is Bernat or Red Heart....which do you think would be ok for the scarf pattern.

Either, but if you can't lay hands on any of the thick yarns you'll probably have to double worsted weight. That isn't all bad--you could come up with some pretty combinations that way. I took a look at the pattern and it's just a big thick comfy scarf all in ribbing, so you don't need to worry a lot about gauge as long as it's as wide as you want and feels right to you. Have fun

I can't find the pattern, but generally you can use most any yarn for a scarf. It just makes it bigger or smaller if it's a different weight. Bernat and Red Heart both have different weights so you may be able to find one that will work perfectly.

Bernat Softee Chunky is nice and soft, comes in solids and variegated.

Could you please edit your post to just include the link? Even though it's free, Lion would prefer people to come to its site to view it; posting someone else's pattern online anywhere is a copyright no no.

But any bulky weight yarn will work, even a regular worsted will too, though it won't be quite as wide.

You can order yarn fron Lion Brand Yarn 's website. I ordered some from them and it arrived very soon after I had ordered.

YIKES...had no idea as it was free..will go back and edit it....thanks for the info on these matters....
