cast on 1 backward loop stitch
I'm sure I've done this before, but I've never run into this instruction. This is in the instructions for the Blue Sky Brushed Suri Mitts. The complete line reads "Cast on 1 backward loop st over thumb area for 30 stitches total and complete round."

I've finished the thumb gusset, put the thumb opening stitches on a holder, and now this. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

At the top of the page is a section with videos. Go to the cast on page and look for backward loop.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.
