bent bamboo needles

I have some bamboo needles and up until fairly recently I was completly in love now I've knoticed that not only are they bent, but I've managed to get about 5 splinters from them as well. Should I trash these for metal or plastic or just deal with it?

Wood needles can bend especially the smaller diameter ones. Are you a tight knitter because I think that exacerbates the problem.
