Projects like that are excellent for charity projects. I like making hats and experimenting and I usually donate them.

Ah!
I was thinking of those flat "strip" hats, military men wear. But a beanie! that I know and have even designed my own. So that: ok, if it is your style. But like everything else: chose your own project.
