Best knitting magazine
OK, I know I can count on you guys help me out. If you could only have one subscription to a knitting magazine, which magazine would you choose and why? I'm thinking of asking for a subscription for Christmas. I already get the Cast On publication for the Knitting Guild which I join each year.

I think a lot depends on your skill level, and what you are looking for. The one magazine I used to love has gone by the wayside, and most of the ones I see now have stuff that's either beyond my skill level or is unappealing to me.....I haven't bought a knitting magazine in ages. Lots of people like Vogue Knits, though.

If I were going to ask for a gift subscription, it would be to a magazine that is issued each month. Hate waiting for two months to go by.

Hope you get the one you like the best.

I really like Simply Knitting, an English magazine. Used to have a subscription that ran out - it is around $100 yearly for a monthly subscription. It has a variety of projects for all skill levels. Now I buy it at Joann's. Interweave Knits is good but it is a quarterly.

I subscribe to Knitter's Magazine and Creative Knitting and would recommend either one. I always find something I want to make in both magazines. They have something for all skill levels.

I suggest...
I like Interweave Knits the best. I enjoy all the advertising in it too.
For a beginner I suggest Creative Knitting. I currently subscribe to six knitting magazines and most times I enjoy them all.
There are a few out there that I just don't like and I don't even bother to pick them up anymore.
