need question answered asap, PLEASE

I was told a long time back about a kind of soap that you can store with your knitting to keep it from developing a musty smell, but I can't remember what it was. Hoping someone can help me. Thanks so much in advance for any help

I've heard of lavendar sachets, and I've heard about cedar, but I haven't heard about a soap.

I think any type of soap is ok as long as it's not touching the yarn. I've got an unopened bar of lavender soap in my stash and everything smells of it.

I heard tha Irish Spring soap keeps that musty odor away and deters moths. Now if only I cared for the fragrance of Irish Spring.

I think that is the soap I was told to use, now that you mention it.
It had just been so long ago, I had forgotten. Thanks so much for the info.
