short rows - please advise!
Hi, i am doing short rows for the first time. i cast on 60 then k1p1, on the second row it says to work across 40 st., turn. work across 20 st. turn and then work in k1p1 ribbing til end of round. does that mean that i go 40 st. then turn it back around and work 20 st. then turn again and go til i've done the 40 that would be on the needle? I appreciate all the help, thanks!

Yes, that's exactly right; you're doing the rows part way across instead of all the way.
