need help in pattern for slippers

Hi all. I'm hoping some kind soul will help me in this pattern. It can be found at the favecrafts website, and is called holiday pom pom slippers. I am stuck on the part listed below
UPPER
With 2 strands of MC and larger needles, cast on 59 (63) sts.
Work 6 rows in Linen St Pat.
Next 2 rows: Sl1. K1. psso. Pat to last 2 sts. K2tog. 55 (59) sts at end of last row.

my question is on the part after where it says next 2 rows. Since I am following a linen stitch pattern, (which is in case you don't know, row 1, k1, yf, sl1, yb, k1, across row. 2nd row is p1, yb, sl1, yf, p1 across row) on the first row of the next 2 row, I knitted as stated, and followed the linen stitch pattern after the sl1, k1, psso part. but on the next row after I do the sl1, k1, psso part, do I follow the 2nd row of the linen stitch pattern, which is the p1, yb, sl1, yf, p1?? I would really appreciate help with this pattern, and thank you very much in advance for you help.

Yes do the sl k psso at the beg of the 2nd row, but you may have to pick up the pattern on the 2nd st in because you've decreased 2 sts at that end. It may not matter, just keep the sts in pattern after the dec at the beg of the row.
