there are different ways, really.
Change the pattern to add more stitches and rows. Depending on the pattern that can be a lot of work or not come out so nicely.
thicker yarn and / or thicker needles may do the trick, depending on how much you have to enlarge them.
But careful: a lot of times, women's hands are more slim than men's hands. You may need to add more width than hight or the fingertips will be dangeling in mid air! I try them on on the man in question when making gloves. Perfect fit guaranteed if you just knit a little longer than you think you need (I always undershoot, otherways)

Men's gloves are relatively hard to find, just like most men's knitting patterns.
