There was a cake of coarse thick wool in a box of unwanted wool that someone from this site sent to me in exchange for some other yarn that I had. I've never seen such wool. I'm guessing that it was 100% wool. It did look though like hair of some sort possibly blended with wool.
However, I made it into clogs. During the washing they looked very hairy. They felted very well and are thick and warm.
Hi!
I just made my first felted slippers myself.
And I really like your shoes. I especially like the pattern. You do not have a pattern link for me, do you? I need to make a few x-mas gifts!

Was it a difficult pattern to follow? Something small like that might be a good first felting project ....
I had no trouble with the pattern. Just be sure to read through it two or three times to be sure you understand how it is made before you proceed. My yarn was bulky so I only carried one strand instead of two together like the pattern called for.
