Has anyone used Valley yarns Amherst heavy worsted?
I am looking for a reasonably priced merino wool yarn at 4.75 stitches to inch on size 10 needles. I saw the Amherst yarn on the Webs site but do not know whether it will work for my project that is a sweater. If it is a true heavy worsted yarn, can I use the size 10 needle to achieve the gauge needed? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
