A yarn to die for! Kaido Lame!
I saw this yarn featured at Elann.com on Monday! Oh to die for!

It's Kaido Lame...a gorgeous mohair blend!

Fibre Content: 63% Superfine Kid Mohair/ 33% Nylon/ 4% Metallic

I'm not in love with the pattern they've featured...but I'm in total mad love
with the yarn and the "GOLDEN HALO" color!

Can you see the hint of golden metallic in it? Don't you think this would make a heavenly lace scarf or shawl!

Anyway, IMO, the price is great, too. Elann is selling it in fractions of a pound. I bought a .68 lb hank (2,842 yds)! You can knit several projects with this yardage! It cost $33.99.

Anyways, I'm real excited to get my hands on it! BTW: Elann is half in USA and half in Canada...making the purchase easy for most of us. (Point Roberts lurks out in the Pacific Ocean...and lays across the international border between USA and Canada...therefore...the literal shop can ship without much trouble to both countries!)

I think my two latest scarves (Green Gables) would have looked divine with this Kaido Lame yarn! Here is the shop scarf! The shop didn't have any colors that turned me on in the signature Tilli Tomas SYMPHONY mohair, seen below of the shop model.

The yarn is very pretty, I agree the pattern isn't very appealing.

It's beautiful. Unfortunately I can't wear mohair..way too itchy for me.

It's really a beautiful fine yarn, from the photo in the link....very thin sweater? Must feel like wearing fairy dust!

My yarn came today, and MY O MY...I can't get over what a WAD of yarn this yank is! Wowzer!

The sparklies don't show up well with my crap camera...I don't own an SLR camera...so I just have to live with whatever my Kodak is capable of giving me!

But it's a subtley sparkly as this photo from the Elann yarn page:

I can hardly wait to wind it on my swift! I'm curious how
large 'the cake' will get!

That DOES look like a wad! Looking forward to seeing your finished "cake". What will you knit with it? I still say it looks like fairy made clothing....
