How's your weather?
We Canadians LOVE to talk about weather, and it varies from province to province, so it's a neat topic for forums.

It's cold and snowing now, I just went out to feed the birds, and 3 deer followed me around, licking up what they could. I put some piles out for them too, but they are hungry (and sometimes a bit greedy).

This is my front deck this morn:

and two deer near front driveway, licking off a fence post where I put a handful of birdseed.

It's a winter wonderland out here today.

It looks so beautiful! I love weather! And....I live in southern California. So I get to read about other peoples weather.

We do get some colder temps in the winter...it can be down in the thirties at night, but actual weather is a rare and special occurrence for us. It was 83 yesterday. Bah. Supposed to be cooler for Christmas though thank goodness!

Looks like you have a beautiful yard! I would love to be so close to nature like that ...

We're having our first minor snow storm of the year today here in Toronto too!

Jan in CA - you said: "I have having weather" and I cannot guess what you meant by that. Can you re-phrase, please?

I do find snowy landscapes pretty, it's about the only compensation for having to live in them though.

I can't guess what I mean by that either! Must have been a random thought that didn't translate and now I have no idea... I edited so I don't confuse anyone else.

Yes, I'm glad I don't have to drive in the snow. I wish we had more of a seasonal change though.

I am also jealous that you are so connected to nature. I've never had that (and I love nature!) So happy you're feeding the deer, keeping them fat and happy.

Thanks Jan, didn't mean to tease though.....was hoping for something profound, hehe.

I do have tons of wildlife here, and my hubby tells everyone that I "feed anything that moves". (not all true) but I do feed raccoons, especially ones with babies hanging from them; birds, squirrels, deer and two house cats.

Living with a huge beaver pond in one's backyard sure offers a lot of contact with nature....loving it! (even if it is a bit off the beaten track).

This buck came last year, and left me an antler.

This is my fav photo I took of baby raccoons. Mama got upset when my hubby was cutting down a tree next to them, and scurried them up a bigger one.

Awww I love raccoons! We've had a couple here in the suburbs, but they are rare. We usually just get possums.

That baby looks more like he's tapping his fingers together and thinking "Muwahahahaha! As soon as she leaves that food is mine!"
