pattern for spiral scarf
I am a novice knitter looking for a pattern for a spiral scarf and a easy hat with a brim. Does anybody know what I mean ? How do you knit in the brim to make it look so stiff like that? I would love to knit one for daughter ! thank you so much for any help you may assist me with.

This one is pretty standard. You need to sign up for lionbrand to view this pattern:

Do yourself a favor and don't use homespun. Worsted or heavy worsted of anything will be fine.

As for the brimmed hats, you can do a felted hat or millnery stores have devices to make a brim stand out.

Sheba - you PM'ed me that you liked the hat I posted - but you didn't say which style. And you didn't say what size head you want to knit it for. (sorry for the delay, but I just noticed the PM today).

Give us all this info here and I'm sure someone can post some more hats for you.
