Confused on this Pattern

This is the pattern I am working on

Row 1 (WS): Sl 1, k4, *place marker (pm), p6, k5; repeat from across--71 sts. This is where I got stuck last night, because when I came to the end I still had more stitches to knit. I get you just slip the fisrt stitch than knit 4 (pm) p6 k 5. But I am suppose to repeat from the k4 to k5 or skip the k4 and continue with the p6? THanks for your help.

Row 2 (RS): Sl 1, k4, *slip marker (sm), k6, k5; repeat from * across.

Row 3: Sl 1, k4, *sm, p6, k5; repeat from * across

You slip 1, knit 4 and then repeat the *p6 k5* 6 times

Row 7 (and all odd numbered rows): Sl 1, k4, *sm, purl to 5 sts before next st marker, k5’ repeat from * to end.

So does that mean I purl 5 put a stitch marker knit 5 than purl 5 slip a marker and so forth to the end?

Your markers should already be in place, but yes, p5, sl marker, purl to 5 sts before the marker, k5, then repeat from the slip marker part between the *s.
