What thickness yarn does trippled sport weight make
I'm wondering if I could use the same pattern and needles for a bulky I've got. It looks to me about the same but I'm a bad judge. The pattern I want to use uses three strands or sport held together. Would my 2 to 3 stitches per inch bulky make about the same? Could I use the same pattern/needles?

Two strands would be about worsted weight, 3 would make it bulky weight. Cast on a sample and see how it works out.

Thanks for the info. I tried casting it on and I think it's going to work out just fine. Whew! I know this pattern like the back of my hand and can whip it out in nothing flat. This will get those hats on the way quick. Thank you again, I appreciate your reply.

So then I should be able to use sock weight tripled as well? I love to see all the beautiful colorways and then am so disappointed to find out they are available only in sock weight, when I need worsted or bulky. If this is the case, it would open up a whole new field of yarns for me.

Sock weight doubled is about DK/light worsted, tripled it would be heavy worsted to bulky, maybe.
