Balet Style Legging Pattern
Hi! I'm in love with the big comfy leggings you always see in the dance movies. They are just so comfy and warm and I was hoping that there is someone out there who could give me a pattern. I just began knitting almost 5 days ago and already I have my first scarf (which I added stripes of blue into) and my first hat which needs to be stitched together at the top when I get a needle big enough. I'm addicted already. :D

Search for leg warmers. Here's a site to start you off:

There are so many different kinds it's hard to know which type you want. Some have just plain stockinette, some are patterned, some slouchy, some fitted, some knit flat and seamed, some knit in the round. Here's a few and you can also check the link in the previous post.

I find http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring08/PATTmosey.html (Mosey legwarmers) from Knitty.com very cute... there's a bit of a cabling twist, for the slouchy look, a fold-down part and a string with balls at the end! However, for just any legwarmers... there's lots online.. just google knit pattern legwarmers or something like that.

Does this bring back FlashDance vibes for anyone? Now I got the song stuck in my head too. Granted, this weather is great for the leg warmers right now. Lucky for me, I live in Houston.

That's so funny! When I read this a few days ago I immediately thought of that movie/song too!
