Help Joining Colors

Hi all,

I'm knitting a blanket that has a border all the way around in 1 color, then stripes in the middle. When I'm knitting the first 6 stitches, then changing the color, how do I not have that "hole" where the two colors meet? The side are knit, and the inside stripes are stockinette.

You have to cross the yarns when you change.

Hold the working yarn over to the left on top of the hanging yarn. When you bring the new yarn up, it will come up from under the one that's being held on top of it and will automatically twist after the first time.

Thanks so much! I found the video. I've only done one color change so far so there's not too much to frog. LOL
