Wesley Pattern/need clarification

Greetings,
I have been knitting one month (quilter 15 yrs) and I am absolutely addicted and Love the book Stitch N Bitch. Just picked up the needles over Thanksgiving. Have knitted a scarf and decided to try something more challenging hence the Wesley hat pattern.
Almost done but struggling with this direction for Begin Crown Decreases *SKP, (slp1 wyif, K1) 3 times, slp1 wyif, K2tog, slp wyif

Will someone be so kind and explain that to me in English. I have surfed for videos and looked online but not exactly sure I am understanding.

SKP is sl 1, k1 psso, and the same as SSK, there's videos on the Decreases page. Then you slip a st with the yarn in front (wyif) which means you move the yarn toward you, slip the st, move yarn back and k1, repeat 3 times, then move the yarn to the front and slip again then move it to the back and k2tog (also on Decreases page), and slip the last st with the yarn in front.
